Country Star Luke Bryan Releases Outdoor-themed Album ‘Kill The Lights’

Country superstar and avid outdoorsman Luke Bryan released his new album, Kill The Lights, earlier today. The fifth studio album by the 39-year-old Georgia native, Kill The Lights touches more on Bryan’s passion for hunting, fishing, and the great outdoors than previous works.

The singer released the first single from the album, “Kick the Dust Up,” in mid-May and it has already climbed to the top of the Media Base and Billboard charts, becoming the fastest-rising single in his career.

With singles like “Huntin’, Fishin’, and Lovin’ Every Day,” Bryan’s latest album is deeply rooted in his upbringing in rural Leesburg, Georgia, where he hunted whitetail and quail and fished underneath a bridge that separated Worth and Lee County.

“You can’t script, in my mind, a better place to grow up in the outdoors,” Bryan recalled. “The Flint River is such a big part of my life. So it taught me the outdoors. I knew when we pulled off Highway 32, drove under the bridge, that me and my dad, and me and my buddies, we knew were going to be making memories.”

32 Bridge, where Bryan spent much of childhood, is now the name of his new exclusive clothing line with Cabela’s.

“I want everyone to experience the outdoors through my eyes, my heart and my mind. When I begin to tell my story of the outdoors, it always begins with 32 Bridge,” Bryan told Cabela’s.

You can listen to the singer talk about his inspiration for the clothing line in the video below:

“There is a place in my hometown where woods and water intersect. Where whitetails slip through tall pines and shoal bass hide behind flint rocks,” Bryan said. “Where bobwhite quail whistle in the wind and doves turn a gun barrel red. I think of the stories and the laughs with my friends. I remember my dad teaching me how to be a man, and now I find myself passing down these ideals to my boys. The outdoors are universal no matter where you live.”
