Video: Officers Release Desperate Deer from Soccer Net

This Wisconsin buck found out the hard way that it was not meant to be a goalie.

Officers from the Adams Police Department teamed up with deputies from the Adams County Sheriff’s Office to free this deer from a school soccer net on Wednesday. Releasing any wild animal always carries an element of risk, not the least for a buck with a pointy set of antlers. Yet the officers here were able to quickly and efficiently release this trapped deer.

“This morning the Adams County Sheriff’s Office and the City of Adams Police Department were dispatched to the A-F Elementary School for a deer caught in a soccer net,” stated the sheriff’s office on Facebook. “Upon arrival Deputy Floyd Lindsey along with City of Adams Police Chief Bret Anderson and Officer Mark Klaus and school staff were able to release the deer back into the wild.”
