This Dangerous Gopher Trap Will Make You Make You Facepalm

There are safe ways to trap or kill rodents and then there’s this contraption.

The device in question consists of a 12 gauge shotgun mounted with 2x4s, a mousetrap attached to the trigger with a string, and a piece of wire mesh attached to the mousetrap with fishing line. What could go wrong? Several things—if ever left unattended, it could easily be triggered accidentally by an unknowing individual, just to name one problem.

We’re all for creative solutions to problems, but making a homemade shotgun booby trap is not a solution to any problem we can think of.
