New from Lancer: Carbon Fiber SIG MPX Handguard
Tom McHale 01.21.16
Lancer makes super-cool gear for ARs and other rifles including buttstocks, handguards, and ultra-durable magazines. This year they branched out into another platform with the launch of their new MPX carbon fiber handguard at SHOT Show.
The company has fully embraced M-LOK and the new handguard is chock-full of attachment points. The holes are not only at the traditional three, six, and nine o’clock positions but also at 45-degree angles between the three and six and six and nine o’clock positions, so you can mount gear exactly where you want it.
The handguard will be offered in eight-, 10-, and 14-inch variants. As you would expect, the handguard is extremely light, ranging in weights from just four to 6.7 ounces depending on the length, making them just over half the mass of the standard aluminum furniture.
The handguard (and the company’s full line of M-LOK-compatible carbon fiber handguards) will be sold direct from Lancer Systems on their site beginning spring 2016. An MSRP was not immediately available, but a representative stated it would be reasonable and in-line with their other handguards.
