Video: Triggerfish Bites Fisherman in His Most Sensitive Spot

Ouch.
Depending on the species, triggerfish is really not a fish that you would want to bite you in the more vulnerable parts of your anatomy. Not only do these fish have sharp, powerful chompers, they also have a propensity to latch on. This is especially true if you’re a spearfisherman hoping to harvest some for dinner. This man found out the hard—and painful way—that triggerfish will do just about anything to survive, and that means using the only weapon it has at its disposal.
“A nice safe diving session to get some dinner. All was good until the Triggerfish attacked!” Joey Antonelli wrote in the description of this video that was uploaded online.
Maybe this fisherman will consider wearing a cup next time. Spearfishing can be a full contact sport sometimes.
