While there have been no official tests on the matter, the Fostech Origin 12 may be a contender for one of the fastest semi-automatic shotguns out there. True, the practicality of a high-speed shotgun may be dubious—hence the relative scarcity of full-auto shotguns like the AA-12—but this slug thrower shoots like a beast. Eric from Iraqveteran8888 gives this rundown on the shotgun. Of course, no introduction to this high-end firearm would be complete without the Salvo 12 suppressor from SilencerCo, which drastically cut down on the noise emitted by Eric’s mag dumps.
“I’ll tell you what, the Fostech Origin 12 is a really, really awesome piece of hardware. As far as I know it’s the fastest cycling shotgun in the world,” Eric said. “We know some people that could put that myth to the test. We might be able to get with them and put the whole thing to bed.”
Sure enough, one of those people happens to be none other than Jerry Miculek himself.
“Maybe we can help with that challenge next time, Eric…” the world champion speed shooter commented on the video.
Putting Jerry Miculek behind the trigger on this shotgun may very well cause a tear in the space-time continuum, or it may just produce world records. Either way, we’d like to see it.
