Video: “Bear Bathtub” Caught on Trailcam

Looking at most bears, you wouldn’t think that personal hygiene is exactly a priority for these large animals. However, photographers working with National Geographic recently documented a pool in Yellowstone National Park that grizzlies have been using to take baths. Actual—albeit muddy—baths.
Scientists from the park first discovered the pool several years ago when a collared bear managed to slip off their radio collar in the area. Ever since, researchers kept their eyes on the “bathtub” to see what antics the bears got up to. It seems that bears are creatures of habit, and predictably crowded around the pool during summertime.
