Vasque Names New Vice President to Lead the Brand

The Red Wing Shoe Company announced today the appointment of George Curleigh as Vice President of their Vasque business unit. Vasque is a leading manufacturer of outdoor footwear. The brand was created almost 50 years ago by the Red Wing Shoe Company.
Mr. Curleigh’s career in the outdoor business is extensive, with over twenty years in the industry. He joins Red Wing from his most recent position as Vice President, Sales at Arc’teryx. Prior to his tenure at Arc’teryx, George was Managing Director, Salomon UK.
“I have been a Vasque fan for many years,” added Mr. Curleigh. “It’s a brand one can’t help but be aware of in the outdoor industry. During my investigation of this opportunity, I developed an even deeper respect for the history, passion and integrity of the Vasque brand. I look forward to working with the Vasque team members to build on the brand’s reputation and lead it to even greater success.”
