When it comes to bow hunting, you have to be ready to make a wide variety of shots. Practice, practice, practice (we’re talking about practice!?) it’s the only way to have the confidence to pull off shots like the one in this video.
Think about it, deer don’t always come in and present a perfect broadside shot, so it’s important that you know your own shooting ability. Don’t kid yourself, this is one of the best archery shots you will ever see. Quartering away shots are always more forgiving, however how tight is your window?
It’s hard to tell in this video, but the window of opportunity for this hunter was very small. He’s able to just barely sneak his arrow past the deers back leg, and bury it right in the pump house.
