Video: High School Student Shoots First Deer. . . in His Living Room?

Ryan Manchester, a Walkersville High School senior, shot his first deer ever not while wearing camouflage or waiting in a deer blind. He shot this deer standing in his Maryland living room, shirtless, after it broke into his home and went on a Christmas tree tipping rampage.
It all started around 1:30 p.m. on December 5, when Ryan heard a loud banging at the door. Just as he thought to go look, the deer broke the door frame and entered the house. Like the Tasmanian devil, an 8-point buck began frantically ransacking the house.
It knocked over their Christmas tree, shattering ornaments and breaking the tree topper, before Ryan could take action.
He ran up to his room to call his dad to get the key to the gun cabinet. Ryan pulled out his father’s Smith and Wesson 9mm handgun and headed back downstairs to deal with the deer. By that time, the deer had gotten blood on nearly every window in the house.
Ryan knew he couldn’t let the deer do any more damage to his house. He took aim and shot the deer twice, killing it.
When police arrived, they checked the gun to make sure it was registered, and someone from the Maryland DNR came out and issued Ryan a tag for the kill. A DNR representative confirmed the story, reports the Frederick News Post.
Take a look at the video to see the moment the buck tips over the Christmas tree. Pretty intense stuff!
