Chuck Berry was an American guitarist, singer and songwriter, and he’s widely known as one of the pioneers of rock and roll music. Sadly, at the age of 90, Chuck has passed away, but his screaming guitar riffs, brash self-confidence and memorable songs about cars, girls and wild nights lives on.
Chuck arguably did as much as anybody when it comes to defining that rock ‘n’ roll lifestyle and attitude, and it shows in today’s artists.
Speaking of today’s artists, social media was flooded with tweets and posts all honoring the late rocker; it was pretty much a who’s who of famous rock artists showing their respect for the lost legend:
Rolling Stones member, Mick Jagger posted a 3 part dedication to Berry, tweeting:
I am so sad to hear of Chuck Berry’s passing. I want to thank him for all the inspirational music he gave to us. 1/3 pic.twitter.com/9zQbH5bo9V

This is only a small sample size of all the love Chuck received over the weekend.
One rocker, who we’re all familiar with, took to Facebook to offer his own tribute. Shemane Nugent posted a video on her Facebook page of her husband Ted Nugent bending a few guitar strings in honor of Chuck Berry:
