Families in the Denver and Pine area can choose from two events on May 19 to get outside and try wildlife recreation activities with Colorado Parks and Wildlife.
“Colorado’s wildlife needs families to get engaged and become future stewards of this precious natural resource,” said Allison Kincaid, Hunting and Angling Outreach Coordinator for the northeast region of Parks and Wildlife. “We will provide as many opportunities as we can to give the public the chance to learn about wildlife and experience fishing and shooting in a safe, friendly and educational manner.”
First Shot!, held at the Colorado Parks and Wildlife office off of I-25 and 58th Avenue in Denver, will teach novice shooters and anglers how to get the most out of the outdoors by letting attendees try their hand at archery, fishing, and shooting. Led by District Wildlife Manager Tim Woodward this event is optimal for metro-area families with little or no experience in wildlife recreation who are interested in the outdoors.
