United Airlines just can’t seem to catch a break. We just heard recently that a passenger, who was flying from Houston to Calgary, was stung by a scorpion after it fell from an overhead storage compartment.
According to reports, passenger Richard Bell was sitting in his seat when the creepy crawler fell from above, landed on him, and stung him mid-flight.
United told CNBC that the airline crew worked diligently and consulted with a physician on the ground to make the man comfortable.
“Medical personnel met the aircraft after it arrived in Calgary,” United spokesman Charles Hobart told CNBC. The man’s injuries were reportedly non-life threatening.
This news comes after a recent PR nightmare for United Airlines, when a video of a passenger being dragged off an “overbooked flight,” went viral earlier last week.
