Video: Pro Bass Angler vs. Alligator
OutdoorHub Reporters 05.02.17
Chad Pipkens is a Bassmaster Elite Series professional angler from Holt, Michigan. And while Michigan certainly has its share of woodland predators, it doesn’t have all the nasty creatures that dwell in and around the lakes, rivers and ponds of the South.
Case in point: Check out this recent clip showing Chad casting to shallow-water cover at the recent Bassmaster Elite event on Ross Barnett Reservoir in Mississippi.
Along with the video, Chad posted: “The highlight of my Ross Barnett day two! Not good… alligator-1 Chad-0.”
Watch it again and check out how fast he takes his foot off his trolling motor foot pedal! Good stuff.
Kudos to Chad for sharing the video, and also for having a good attitude. You see, he finished 107 out of 109 anglers on Ross Barnett, and after catching four bass for 6 pounds 15 ounces on day No. 1, he blanked on the second day, hence the reason for his “highlight of Ross Barnett day two” comment.
