Georgia DNR Asking for Leads on Deer Killed Illegally and then Duct Taped to Sign

The Georgia DNR is asking for your help in assisting to find whoever is responsible for duct taping a dead deer to a street sign in Atkinson County.
Not only was the deer taped to a sign, according to WALB the deer appears to have been shot, so authorities are investigating if it was killed illegally.
The Coffee County Police Department posted a photo of the deer on Facebook along with information from the DNR office about a reward for any tips leading to an arrest of the person or persons who did this.

Around 7:00 am this morning we received a picture and a tip from a passing motorist of a deer that had been killed and duck taped to a street sign on the Willacoochee Hwy near the Lax turnoff.
I immediately called Coffee 911 to report the deer and asked for them to have a Coffee County deputy to give me a call, when the deputy returned my call I told him about the horrific picture that had been sent to me and the location of the deer he responded with Coffee 911 had told him the location as well and was already on the Willacoochee Hwy.
I have spoken with a DNR Officer and he has confirmed that a reward is being offered for tips leading to the arrest of the person or persons who did this.
To me, it’s one thing to hit a deer and leave it laying beside the road or even shooting a deer and not be able to track and locate the deer after shooting it.
In my opinion, God put animals on earth for a reason deer to feed man, snakes to keep other animals from being over populated and buzzards to clean up the remains of dead animals.
