Video: Bear Raids Refrigerator While the Homeowner is Asleep Upstairs

A bear with a serious appetite was caught on tape raiding the refrigerator of a Colorado home, while the home owner was fast asleep upstairs.

The 375-pound bear entered the home through an open window the morning of July 4, WSLS reports. In the video, the bear can be seen rummaging through cabinets, sniffing around, and even opening the fridge door just like a person!

It wasn’t until later that morning that Chris O’Dubrhraic came downstairs and saw his kitchen was in complete disarray. And when he looked at his surveillance cameras, he saw he had had a visitor in his house overnight, for 5 hours. . .

“It sent a shiver down my spine to think that I had slept during the time that he was walking around investigating every room,” Chris says in the WOFL News video below:

We can only assume the bear was in the house for so long because the first house it went to the fridge was too small, and the second house the fridge was too big. O’Dubrhraic’s fridge was obviously just right, because the bear was able to open it with no problem at all.
