What Happened to this Button Buck with a Massively Swollen Leg?

So, we saw this trail cam photo and it really got our attention, but not because of a Booner buck . . .
What we saw in this photo is really puzzling, and many folks have thrown out possible suggestions, but we thought we’d see what you think.
This button buck clearly has something wrong with its front leg, and contrary to what some Facebook comments suggest, this is not just a serious case of eating too much spinach.
Nope, not that either . . . although this would probably make a nice leg mount for Westbred Diamond, since he’s more interested in the legs than the racks.
Some have suggested a tumor, and others say a rattlesnake may have gotten a hold of this guy, but what do you think? Let us know!
