YouTube Banned Some Gun Modding Videos in Response to Las Vegas Shooting

Once again, YouTube is the talk of the internet after making big changes in response to the Las Vegas shooting.
In case you haven’t heard already, or perhaps you found out for yourself, YouTube has banned all videos related to anything that has to do with how to modify firearms to increase the rate of fire.
If you’ve followed along with recent OutdoorHub reports, you know “bump stocks” are a hot button issue right now, and this move by YouTube may be an effort to stay ahead of another advertising nightmare like the one they ran into back in March.
Popular YouTuber Military Arms channel, along with many others, had their videos taken down and a “strike” was applied against their channel. You can read the message YouTube sent creators who had their videos taken down here:
“We have long had a policy against harmful and dangerous content,” a YouTube spokesman said, reports The Telegraph. “In the wake of the recent tragedy in Las Vegas, we have taken a closer look at videos that demonstrate how to convert firearms to make them fire more quickly, and we’ve expanded our existing policy to prohibit these videos.”
