Video: Do You Recognize the Hunting Logo on Tonya Harding’s Skating Sweatshirt?

OutdoorHub is a website that deals in hunting, fishing, shooting and other outdoor pursuits. So, it’s probably not our place to comment on the current film, I, Tonya, about former Olympic figure skater Tonya Harding, and the you-can’t-make-this-up drama that unfolded back in 1994. Remember when Harding’s rival, Nancy Kerrigan, was smashed on the knee with a metal club by someone hired by Harding’s ex-husband, Jeff Gillooly? Crazy stuff.
Why are we discussing Harding here? On the evening of Jan. 11, 2018, ABC News showcased Harding in a 2-hour “Truth and Lies” documentary, and as hunters, we couldn’t help but notice a few interesting visuals. First, they showed a pic of Harding and her current husband, Joe Price, and the couple was wearing clothes featuring blaze-orange camo accents.
Okay, so perhaps the new husband is a hunter? Or maybe Harding is, too? Or maybe she just likes blaze camo?
Then, minutes later, they showed Harding skating and training today (see video below), and there it was for the world to see — a bold and pink Realtree APG logo on her sweatshirt. Again, interesting.
There’s a saying “any publicity is good publicity,” but we think the folks at Realtree would’ve preferred Tonya skate around in anything but a sweatshirt featuring their brand. And who knows, maybe someone can dig up a pic online of Kerrigan wearing Mossy Oak.
