Does This Photo Show a Deer ‘Knocked Out Cold’ by RC Plane?

We saw this photo going around on social media, and it sounds like there’s some debate on whether it’s real or fake . . .

There are a few things that stand out to us that suggest the photo is fake, but it’s tough to know for sure these days. A Facebook user claims the deer was only knocked out cold, and they saw a video of it getting up and running away, however, that seems kind of unlikely here:

Another thing that doesn’t seem to make any sense: How that RC plane was able to fly through the woods with its seemingly wide wingspan.

Now, I’m no RC plane pilot, and there might be somebody out there whose skill level with these things is “Top Gun-esque,” but I’m going to stick to my gut here, and call this photo a phony.
