950,000 Volt “Blast Knuckles” in Action

Called “Blast Knuckles” by their manufacturer, Zap Stunguns, this combination striking weapon/stun gun is one of the more unique self-defense products on the market.

Zap bills their Blast Knuckles as great tool for joggers and anyone who might not have the space to carry a traditional stun gun.

The Blast Knuckles purport a 950,000 volt payload delivered by an arc of electricity passing between two contact points. However, Blast Knuckles can only sustain that charge for a several seconds before the energy reserves become exhausted for a short time.

Several websites claim that a jolt from Zap’s Blast Knuckles will incapacitate an assailant, however some of these “home tests” don’t seem to support that. Still, it’s unlikely anyone struck by an electrified punch will be sticking around for long.
