New York-based holster maker DeSantis Holsters had dozens of new holsters on display at SHOT Show 2019. Outdoor Hub asked for a tour of what’s new for civilian concealed carry. Here are the top five picks for that category, as chosen by a DeSantis company rep.
Intruder 2.0 got a major overhaul. This once-IWB only holster now has a modular clip system to allow the user to switch it to OWB. Price: $78.99.
Viper 2.0 is a traditional leather OWB holster with integral belt loops and an FBI cant. As of 2019, it’s suede-lined to protect finish. It also now features an adjustable tension screw. Choose black or brown for $100.
Inner Peace 2.0 is a black, padded ballistic nylon option made for appendix carry, tucked or untucked. New features are adjustable height and cant. It has a magazine pouch too. Price: $40.
Variable 13 is another user-directed model, in tan or brown leather or black kydex. It has ambidextrous flexibility and removable belt loops for complete adjustability. Price: $78.99.
Sof-Tuk 2.0 was formerly offered in suede. Now it’s a black, polyurethane-lined, tuckable leather holster, with height and cant adjustability for an economical price of $34.
This long-standing and prolific holster company just keeps cranking out options for not only concealed carry, but also for cowboy action shooters, law enforcement, and the casual plinker. Most fits are firearm-speciific and the company offers custom cuts for popular models and brands.
