Checkout the Taxidermy Job on Josh Bowmar’s Ohio State Record Bigmouth Buffalo

One year ago, we posted the video of Josh Bowmar on the day he shot the current Ohio state record Bigmouth buffalo taken by bowfishing. Now, thanks to a post on the bowmarbowhunting Instagram page, we get to see Josh’s awesome accomplishment come to fruition.

The new Ohio state record, a Bigmouth Buffalo weighing 43.0 pounds, was shot by Josh Bowmar of Westerville, Ohio in Hoover Reservoir in Delaware County, Ohio. Bowmar shot his fish May 21, 2018, using a Hoyt recurve bow with 150 lb line.

Here’s the video just in case you might have missed it:

Bowmar’s Bigmouth Buffalo officially stretched the tape to 43.5 inches long and 28-7/8 inches in girth.. An absolute unit of a fish!

“Got my OH STATE RECORD Buffalo back from the taxidermist! I couldn’t be more pumped!” Josh wrote in the post below:

Congratulations, Josh. That mount and state record plaque will surely make a nice new addition to your bowhunting wall of fame.

Now it’s time to set your sights on an Iowa state record!
