Grasshopper Pizza? Evel Pie in Las Vegas ‘Hops’ at the Opportunity After Insect Invasion

You’ve heard the expression “When life gives you lemons, make lemonade.” Well, Evel Pie in Las Vegas is fully embracing that idea with the addition of a new pie to their menu: The Canyon Hopper.

After a swarm of grasshoppers descended into the Nevada valley and took over the Las Vegas Strip, creativity started to flow at Evel Pie in Sin City.

The restaurant – a nod to the legendary stuntman Evel Knievel –  said the idea initially started out as a joke, but now they’re DARING you to give it a try. What do you say? Are your taste buds up for it?

The Canyon Hopper pizza is topped with chorizo, goat cheese, caramelized onions, arugula and yup.. a hearty amount of lime & garlic roasted grasshoppers.

“Sure it sounds nasty… Arugula, really?” the shop’s Facebook post stated. “But this pizza is damn good! It surprised us. We dare you to try it!”
