Party Pumpkin: How to Carve a Pumpkin Kegerator for Your Fall-Themed Get Together

Halloween is almost here. You (finally) have your costume picked out, you’re stocked up on those miniature candy bars for the trick-o-treaters, and a spooky music playlist is ready to rock once the party begins. Everything seems to be in order, except that boring punch bowl you dug out from the depths of your cupboard just isn’t going to cut it. If you want a fun drink dispenser to go with your fall-themed get together, try carving a pumpkin kegerator!
This drink dispenser is wickedly easy to make, plus your guests will get a kick out of drinking their favorite fall cocktail from a tapped pumpkin!
Like you would when you carve a jack-o-lantern, start by cutting the top off the pumpkin and scoop out all the innards. (Pro tip: leave some pulp in the bottom of the pumpkin and select a beer that lends to a little pumpkin flavoring!)
Next, you need to make a hole for the spigot. This is the most tedious step, as you want to be careful not to make the hole too big. Ultimately, you want the spigot to squeeze in and have a nice tight fit. The last thing you want is beer spilling out on the floor. Talk about a party foul!
For this step, try using an apple corer. It will at least get you started and you can carve out more space as needed.
At last, the best part; top off your pumpkin kegerator with your favorite fall libation. Whether it’s pumkin-spiced or a pumpkin craft beer, you really can’t go wrong!
