A Baaaad Crew has Apparently Taken Over a Welsh Town Amid Coronavirus Lockdown

While the residents of a seaside Welsh town remain inside to help stop the spread of the coronavirus, a herd of wild goats have moved in and made themselves right at home.
The goats, BBC News reports, are part of a herd who live around the nearby Great Orme headland. They are referred to as Great Orme Kashmiri goats, whose ancestors originated from northern India. The headland is a massive 679-foot chunk of limestone rising from the sea, the Great Orme County Park’s tourism site explains.
Apparently, it’s not entirely out of the ordinary for these goats to venture into town when nasty weather moves in, but the animals have been seen wandering the town more frequently these days, visiting the town center, in front of churches and even snacking on hedges in front lawns.
As you would expect, the animals have been providing tons of entertainment to the town people, who have been posting photos and videos to their social media.
“Well we have NO GUESTS, and the GREAT ORME GOATS expect to stay and eat for free!” the Lansdowne House, a local hotel, wrote on Instagram Monday. “At least they use the parking white lines to respect 2m Social Distancing!!”
“I, for one, welcome our new goat overlords,” tweeted Andrew Stuart, who works for the Manchester Evening News.

Stuart has been at the forefront of this wild goat takeover, posting regular video updates to his Twitter since last week.

According to BBC News, town Councillor Carol Marubbi said she believes the herd is frequenting the town because fewer people are out walking around.
“There are very few visitors on the top [of the Orme], so they have come down in droves,” she stated. “There isn’t anyone else around so they probably decided they may as well take over.”
Have you witnessed any bizarre wildlife activity in your town or city lately? This story reminds me of that time a bunch of polar bears invaded a town in Russia, except this is obviously way less terrifying.
