Duck Hunters Film Dinosaur-Size Alligator Stealing Ducks Off the Water

When sitting in a duck blind, there are certain things you would rather not see when you peek out from your camo covered covert. Clear bluebird skies are one, but I firmly believe these duck hunters found the number one thing you DO NOT want to see when you’re hunting in the marsh.

Kevin Stipe and Cass Couey, owners of PRO HUNT navigation app, were hunting in Leesburg, Florida in a swamp that looks like prime duck hunting habitat. The only thing is, however, they were also sharing the swamp with a monstrous alligator!

“It was just another day in the swamp for us,” Couey told FOX 35 News. “But I’m glad people are loving it!”

This gator seems to have a good thing going, too! He sits in the sun waiting for the thunderous ‘dinner bell’ of shotguns being fired, and then swims out to collect the fallen birds on the water. Not a bad gig for this seemingly pre-historic creature! As I type this, the 30-second clip is just short of a million views on Facebook.

“Here we go, Number 2 of the day,” one of the men says in the now viral video.

The gator is seen swimming out to a fallen duck on the water, snatching it with its powerful jaws, and chomping it underwater.

“Ok, you’re fed, now get out of here,” the hunter adds.

Between this and deer hunters finding alligators in Minnesota, I think it’s safe to say 2020 is truly leaving its mark on the hunting this year. Which leads to my next question for all; what is the strangest thing you have come across this hunting season? Anything out of the ordinary? We always appreciate hearing from our readers, so drop a comment with a hunting story that can be filed under ‘That’s 2020 for you!’
