Watch This Raccoon Browse for Deals at Best Buy in Toronto

This raccoon in Toronto just couldn’t wait for all the Black Friday deals.
The little critter stormed into a Best Buy in Toronto last week, wet and soggy from the inclement weather outside, and went momentarily unnoticed before being discovered perusing the electronics department. And who could blame the furry little fella? I hear the deals out there are killer this year!
Jamie Muir, who reportedly told Blogto.com that she witnessed the event, said “He just wandered in the front door while no one was paying attention and made his way to the back of the store.” She was also able to capture the scene on video, too.
“We tried corralling him to the front door,” said Muir, “but he absolutely didn’t want to leave because clearly it was awful outside and it was nice and warm inside.”

Eventually, however, employees were able to place a box over the raccoon and make a plan to call for assistance from wildlife workers.
But apparently Toronto animal control said they would not be able to make it to the store for several hours, so Best Buy workers took it upon themselves to release the animal back into the wild behind the store.
According to the site BlogTO, this is just the latest in a spree of raccoon encounters across the city, from this one who got stuck on a bridge in City Place for days to the raccoon who decided to get a job at Tim Hortons to the ones saved from wandering into oncoming traffic by local heroes (one of them on a segway).
So what is the deal with all these raccoons running around the city?
Well, apparently there has been issues with some Canine Distemper Virus going around, which can make raccoons act very out of sorts.
The good thing with the raccoon in the video, though, is it appears more genuinely lost rather than sick with a virus. So lets hope the raccoon found refuge elsewhere after being booted from the Best Buy – as well as another place to pick up an Alexa Echo Dot.
Because you know, raccoons need to get their shopping out of the way, too!
