Shadow Systems well known for their high-end striker fired handguns has released a new compact carry gun with some impressive features. The Shadow Systems CR920X comes together in a lightweight, small package while maintaining a 15+1 capacity, optics cut, and well-thought-out ergonomics.

[NRAAM 2024] Shadow Systems CR920X
The CR920X is perhaps our most versatile model yet boasting a slim profile, full grip, 15+1 capacity, light rail, and patented multi-footprint optic cut. The longer grip of the CR920X gives full backstrap contact in the palm of your hand versus the minimalist approach of the smaller CR920. Most shooters will find this design element gives them greater control over the pistol and increases comfort in long shooting sessions. The longer 15-round magazine will feed and function in the smaller CR920 pistol giving cross platform compatibility.
While handling the CR920X, the stippling on the frame really stuck out. Not too aggressive, and not too smooth. An excellent balance for a CCW handgun that shouldn’t irritate your skin while its in an IWB holster.

Our engineers chose to use magazine springs far stronger than those found in competing designs. This spring power provides extra insurance with a wide range of bullet weights and in compromised firing positions or when the gun is dirty. We spared no expense on the quality of the magazine by incorporating a premium, ultra-slick nickel Teflon finish. Despite these design choices, our magazines continue to carry a recommended retail price under $30.
