While tungsten has been the hot topic lately in the world of ice fishing tackle, including for Northland introducing tungsten offerings, they have also brought out a more traditional offering for this winter as well. The new Thumper Spoon goes back to tradition and is made of stamped brass, letting it tremble like a maple leaf as it falls from the branch. While a larger profile than the tungsten offerings the action is second to none, imitating an injured-baitfish fluttering towards the bottom. The shape of the brass spoon is precisely balanced, an upside-down teardrop profile causes the dramatic fluttering as the lure is in freefall. Then when given a long stroke the Thumper spoon will launch in a random direction and then repeat that enticing flutter as it sinks.
