MetLife Auto and Home Insurance Now Available to DU Members

MetLife, the largest U.S. life insurer and leading provider of group benefits, announced yesterday that members of Ducks Unlimited, the world’s leader in wetlands and waterfowl conservation, now have access to special group discounts on auto, home and other property and liability insurance from MetLife Auto & Home and other national insurance companies through a new program designed just for DU members.

DU members can now apply for auto and home insurance coverage from four leading insurance providers, including MetLife Auto & Home companies, allowing them to comparison shop to find the solutions that best meet their needs.

“We’re excited to work with MetLife and its affiliates to provide this specially designed program to help our members meet their insurance needs,” said Jim West, chief fundraising officer at Ducks Unlimited. “We are confident that this program will generate significant added value to our membership and further DU’s wetlands conservation efforts at the same time.”

In addition to special group discounts for auto and home insurance, members of Ducks Unlimited also have the opportunity to apply for renter’s insurance, and condo, boat, motor home and RV coverage, among other policies. Should members choose a MetLife Auto & Home policy, they will also have access to value-added features, such as convenient payment options, identity protection services and superior driver and length of membership discounts, available in most states.

“We’re pleased to work with Ducks Unlimited to offer its members access to auto and home insurance coverage, with excellent group discounts,” said Dave Brennan, vice president of MetLife. “This program allows Ducks Unlimited members to assess their current insurance needs and get access to policies that provide valuable insurance coverage.”

Ducks Unlimited is the world's leader in wetlands and waterfowl conservation. DU got its start in 1937 during the Dust Bowl when North America’s drought-plagued waterfowl populations had plunged to unprecedented lows. Determined not to sit idly by as the continent’s waterfowl dwindled beyond recovery, a small group of sportsmen joined together to form an organization that became known as Ducks Unlimited. Its mission: habitat conservation. Thanks to decades of abiding by that single mission, Ducks Unlimited is now the world’s largest and most effective private waterfowl and wetlands conservation organization. DU is able to multilaterally deliver its work through a series of partnerships with private individuals, landowners, agencies, scientific communities and other entities.
