It was directed by Arnold Fanck, a German mountain film pioneer who later met political and financial trouble by refusing to join the Nazi party. This edit of Der Weisse Rausch features twin tip skis, a 360 degree turn on flat terrain, skiing on cabin roofs and a fair share of cliff jumping.
