Para USA, LLC (“Para”) is proud to announce that Team Para USA member Travis Tomasie has won the Gothenburg Open Nordic Championship.
The Gothenburg Open is a Level-3 International Practical Shooting Confederation (IPSC) tournament which determines the Nordic champion in the Standard division. It was held on June 15-17, 2012 in Gothenburg, Sweden with 226 competitors in attendance. The competition included the current Swedish, Norwegian, Danish, and Finnish IPSC national champions.
The match consisted of 13 courses of fire for a total of 228 rounds. During the three-day event the lead changed hands several times but with only three stages remaining, Team Para’s Travis Tomasie put the pedal down. Using his Para-Ordnance 16-40 TT and Remington UMC Target ammunition, Travis won all three stages; finishing 34 points ahead of second place.
Travis has been a winning practical pistol competitor for over 15 years. He is a multiple national and world champion. Through his extensive competition experience Travis knows, to compete with, and to consistently beat the best in the world, you must have a handgun you can trust.
When asked about his accomplishment Travis said, “Para USA’s participation in competitive shooting allows us to develop and test our innovative designs in uncompromising and extremely demanding conditions. The same technology Para employs to win major championships is bred into every pistol that leaves the assembly line.”
