Outdoor Indiana Magazine Features Mississinewa Lake

Outdoor Indiana magazine’s July-August issue features an article on Mississinewa Lake and the history and attractions surrounding its shores.
The lake was formed by the damming of the history-rich river of the same name, completed in 1968, to control flooding. The recreation-rich 14,386 acres of wooded surroundings provide everything from the country’s largest War of 1812 living history event to excellent hunting, American Indian history and one of the country’s first disc golf courses.
The article continues a series in which one state park or reservoir property is featured through 2016, the 100th anniversary of Indiana state parks.
The 48-page full-color magazine also includes a cover article on Redbird and Interlake, the state’s premier destinations for motorized off-road trail riding.
