Camp Perry Pistol Championships Preparation

Camp Perry, Ohio – It is a beautiful day here at Camp Perry now that the temperatures have finally cooled down. Competitors, NRA employees and volunteers were starting to get worried because temperatures were in the 100’s this past week. However, it looks like the weather will be in our favor for the National Pistol Matches with highs only expected to be in the 80’s.

Last minute preparations are underway to help prepare for packet day, pistol practice and the First-Shot Ceremony tomorrow. Volunteers are arriving and checking in, the Range Crew is busy putting up signs and preparing the ranges, the Statistics Office is busy squading and filling up hundreds of packets, and competitors have begun arriving and walking around Camp Perry; all making Camp Perry come alive with the sights and sounds of the National Matches.
