How To Make Night Crawlers Less Slippery

Fishing with night crawlers and worms is always productive, but for some of us, especially children, getting that night crawler on the fishing hook can be slippery business.
When fishing with night crawlers, try keeping an old can half full of sand by your side. Put the night crawlers in the sand and drag them around, then put them on the fishing hook. The sand makes it very easy to grip, especially for the youngsters, and it is fun for them. As soon as the night crawler hits the water, the sand is removed. Good luck and good fishing!

His love for the Ozark whitetail and old tom turkey is still his passion. Ed is quite active in promoting the outdoors and enjoys sharing hunts with others, especially first timers! His mission in life is to expose people, young and old, to this great pastime of hunting and fishing. Each year he takes a group into Ontario for bear hunting and fishing. In a time when it is getting more difficult to get kids exposed to nature, Ed believes all outdoors men and women, can and will play an important role in helping to expose more children to the outdoors.
