In this article, I’m going to break down one of my new favorite products for deer camp and cold weather sporting events, the Gobi Heat Terrain Heated Camping Chair.
For those of us that live in a State that sees the changing of the seasons, you have undoubtedly felt your first taste of winter chill. In some areas of the country, snow has hit and in others it’s been just a light frost. No matter your location, if the temperatures outside drop to 40 degrees or below you are going to start to look for ways to stay warm while you are enjoying the outdoors.
Some like to camp year round and others may spend time at their kid’s outdoor sporting events. Whatever brings you outdoors, you have certainly found yourself in the position of being a little bit colder than you would like. So, what can you do to beat the colder temps? I’ll tell you what you can do, tap in to one of my favorite pieces of gear that I used at an uncommonly frigid deer camp, the Terrain Heated Camping Chair from Gobi Heat.
If you aren’t familiar with Gobi Heat, they are one of the premiere companies in the business of keeping you warm! They sell a variety of products which all have one very important feature, they have a battery powered heater built in. With Gobi Heat, you can outfit yourself from head to toe in heated gear which will keep you warmer than a bear in hibernation.
One of the things which we are “blessed” with here in Michigan is wild temperature swings which leave us on our toes every year for deer camp. Some year’s we will have temps in the high 40’s and other years we can find ourselves in single digits. November in Michigan is always difficult to plan for and when you camp like we do, preparing to stay warm is a must. This year, I was fortunate enough to have a Terrain Heated Camping Chair from Gobi Heat to use as my preferred method of relaxation in our tent.
It’s hard to overstate how awesome it was to have a camp chair that could bring some extra comfort to my camping equation. The Gobi Heat Terrain Heated Camping Chair was really awesome to set up next to my cot, crank up the heat, and relax with a warm back after a day of sitting in a cold hunting blind. There were a lot of jealous fellow campers that wished they had their own Terrain Heated Camping Chair.
Before I dive in to the specifics of the Terrain Heated Camping Chair, you need to know that there has never been a better time to shop the heated gear that Gobi Heat has to offer. From 11/21- 11/30, Gobi Heat is offering 20% off their entire site of products, which means you can keep warm while saving money. Click the link below to save!
When you shop for camp chairs, the typical focus is on comfort and portability. You want to make sure that the spot you will have for sitting in camp will be able to provide enough comfort to relax after a long day spent in the outdoors. With that in mind, I have to say that the Terrain Heated Camping Chair was incredibly comfortable. The arms have cushioned wraps and the the chair itself has plenty of cushioning. Even more importantly, you cannot feel the heat coils that are integrated within the chair.
The chair has an integrated conductive-thread technology which is sewn in directly to a durable 600/300 Denier Polyester. One of the features that I really like about the Terrain Heated Camping Chair is that it has a separate and compact 6500 mAh lithium polymer battery. The reason I like this is because I can remove it for charging and even use it as a backup phone charger as it has a USB outlet. Even better, I can purchase a back up battery from Gobi Heat so that I can run the max heat level all day without needing to break for a recharge.
I was using the camo version of the Terrain Heated Camping Chair, but Gobi Heat offers 6 color options so that you can get the look you want. For those of us built on a bigger frame, you’ll be happy to know that the Terrain Heated Camping Chair has a max weight capacity of 325lbs. You’ll also find a conveniently located cup holder on the arm of the chair.
Overall, I really enjoyed the Terrain Heated Camping Chair and plan to use it as my go to chair for camp moving forward. The extra heat that the chair provided helped me overcome cold drafts and provided a much more enjoyable experience overall to camp. I found myself anxiously awaiting the end of my daily hunt so that I could get back to the tent and turn on the chair!
