Apply to Hunt Deer and Elk at C2 Ranch Near Medford, Oregon

CENTRAL POINT, Ore. —ODFW’s Access and Habitat Program and the C2 Ranch are offering 37 hunters the chance to hunt deer or elk on the ranch’s 9,500-acre property near Medford this fall.
Hunters can apply for one of the following hunts:
- Early season archery deer, season Aug. 27 – Sept. 25 (two hunters to be drawn for two-day hunt)
- Late season archery deer, season Nov. 12 – Dec. 4 (two hunters to be drawn for two-day hunt)
- Youth deer hunt, season Dec. 17 – Jan. 2 (28 youth hunters to be drawn for one-day hunt with guide provided; applicants must have 630T Rogue Youth Deer Tag)
- Youth antlerless elk, Dec. 18 – 23 (five youth hunters to be drawn for one-day hunt with guide provided; applicants must have 230T1 or 230T2 Youth Elk Tag)
Applications are available online at A&H’s Hunting Opportunities webpage and can be emailed, faxed or mailed (see directions on application).
Applications must be received by 5 p.m. Aug. 17, 2011. It is free to apply and free to hunt on the C2 Ranch for the hunters that win the opportunity. All winners are still responsible for purchasing a hunting license and the appropriate deer or elk tag.
The winners will be drawn at the Rogue Valley Chapter Oregon Hunters Association Board meeting in Medford on Aug. 18.
The A&H Program funds projects that provide hunter access and/or improve wildlife habitat on private land in Oregon. The A&H Program is funded primarily by a $4 surcharge on hunting licenses, big game auction and raffle tag sales.
