Clam Outdoors Invites Customers to “Escape With Us” Through Family of Brands

Medina, Minn. (August 30, 2011) – For many outdoor enthusiasts, the name “The Clam” means ice fishing. But with the launch of the new Clam Outdoors corporate website this week, the entire family of brands will be showcased to all consumers. The brands include Jason Mitchell Elite Series™, Rod Slick™, Goose Antler Lodge Fish Batter™, Polar Trailer™, Ice Armor Hunt™, Ice Armor Fishing™ as well as Clam Ice Fishing™.

“We’ve captured all the brands under one umbrella,” shared Mike Petersen, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Clam Outdoors. “Our new marketing platform will help expose all our brands, spanning far more than ice fishing, to all of our customers. This new site brings everything front and center.”

While steadily adding SKUs to the line-up of ice fishing gear, during the last three years the company has entered into several partnerships with other brands, too. Putting more marketing muscle behind brands like Jason Mitchell Elite Series has created tremendous growth for the company. “Clam Outdoors has a really great understanding about what’s going on in the field and on the water,” shared Jason Mitchell, from Jason Mitchell Outdoors Television. “Their customer service is excellent and people appreciate that. When folks see Clam brands, they trust them.”

Internet searches for any of the various Clam Outdoors brand names will land on a new, redesigned corporate webpage. From there, each brand-specific site is just a click away. “Escape With Us™ is our new corporate tag line,” shared Nick Chiodo, Sales and Marketing Coordinator of Clam Outdoors. “It encompasses all of our product lines as we escape in a variety of ways: fishing, hunting, yard work—even sharing a meal with our friends and families. And each of us escapes from different things: work, stress, whatever. Clam Outdoors provides products that help us enjoy our free time and relax.”

Clam Outdoors began humbly in 1980 when Dave Genz built his first Fish Trap ice fishing shelter in his garage. Today, the company is based in Medina, Minn., with hundreds of SKUs across eight brands: Clam Ice Fishing, Ice Armor Fishing, Ice Armor Hunt, Jason Mitchell Elite Series, Rod Slick, Goose Antler Lodge Fish Batter and Polar Trailer.
