Louisiana DWF Reopens Elm Hall WMA
The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries (LDWF) today reopened for public use the Elm Hall Wildlife Management Area in Assumption Parish. The WMA had been closed prior to Hurricane Isaac’s landfall on Aug. 29.
LDWF’s Elmer’s Island (Jefferson Parish) remains closed until further notice. Storm impact assessment and beach cleaning operations are ongoing.
