People who restore or collect vintage automobiles can sometimes be considered artists. Many of these artists will be participating in a fall Car Club Classics Show at North Bend State Park October 13 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
“Every year the Ritchie County Car Club comes to the park and it is one of our big fall events for both the participants and the public,” said Ken Zebo, park activities coordinator. “County car club members will be showing restoration work and other projects.”
Door prizes for visitors and trophies for car show participants will be awarded. Individuals wishing to register a car in the show should call 304-853-2674 or 304-869-3969.
The Ritchie County Car Club Fall Classic Car Show is open to the public. The show will be set up at the original playground at North Bend State Park located on the way to River Run campground after passing North Bend Lodge. There is no charge to see the classic cars and to talk with club members.
North Bend State Park is located between Cairo and Harrisville. The park website is www.northbendsp.com. The park features a 29-room lodge, nine vacation cabins, two campgrounds, full-service restaurant, lake, hiking trails and access to the North Bend Rail Trail. The park is open year-round.
