This Week on Student of the Gun: Pocket Pistols, XS Sights and the Snake Gun
Student of the Gun 11.05.12
This week we take a look at the guns we carry a lot but shoot a little; the pocket pistol. We’ll closely examine both toting and practicing with these mini-blasters and some practical accessories for them.
Regardless of the handgun you choose, being able to see the front sight, particularly under the pressure life or death attack, is paramount. Paul closely examines and reviews the XS Sights “Big Dot Tritium” front and rear sights and discussed their place on a fighting pistol.
Sometimes shooting is just about having fun. The Sterling II 9mm carbine from Century Arms with a DuraCoat “Southern Viper” camouflage pattern is a gun that’s both fun to shoot and interesting to look at. Paul shares the origins of the pattern and the story behind how the snake gun came to be. Also, as a bonus, we introduce you to our new outdoor studio and a segment we call “Guns of Gaming”.
