Mossberg ‘Flexes’ its MVP Series Rifles

Mossberg is launching seven new MVP FLEX rifles, which feature the FLEX TLS tool-less locking system the company introduced in 2012 in its famous shotguns. This new concept in modular rifles and accessories is available in Mossberg’s MVP series bolt-actions in 5.56mm NATO (223 Rem.), including a youth version.
The FLEX TLS System allows shooters to remove and remount the rifle’s stock without tools in seconds. Because Mossberg offers interchangeable recoil pads and multiple stocks in various finishes, shooters can adapt their rifles for fit any application. This rifle is available in 20-inch sporter and 18.5-inch medium bull barrels, which have optional threaded barrels featuring A2-style flash suppressors. A scoped Combo version and a Youth model with 12.75-inch length of pull are also available.
The Mossberg MVP series features the MVP’s patent-pending Drop-Push bolt, which accepts and reliably feeds from AR-style magazines. The rifle’s precision performance also features the Mossberg LBA (Lightning Bolt Action) adjustable trigger system, which shooters can adjust from 2 to 7 pounds. The unique lightning-bolt trigger blade blocks the sear from releasing the striker unless the blade is fully depressed.
Other standard features on the MVP FLEX Rifles include fluted, button-rifled barrels with a 1:9 twist rate; FLEX 6-position tactical stock (Youth version has FLEX 12-inch LOP stock); durable matte blue finish on exposed metalwork; factory-installed, receiver-mounted Picatinny rails; distinctive spiral-fluted bolts; front and rear sling swivel studs; and 10-round capacity magazines.
The MVP FLEX bolt-action 20-inch Sporter rifles are available in four versions, and the MVP FLEX bolt-action 18.5-inch medium Bull rifles are available in three versions. The MSRP for both models range from $928 to $1,098. Contact (203) 230-5300 or www.mossberg.com.
