Savage Expands AXIS Youth Models

Savage Arms has expanded its line of Axis youth-model rifles, which it touts as the industry’s best-in-class economy rifle. Savage is adding two rifle/scope packages in its youth configuration, and both models feature a Bushnell 3-9×40 scope that comes mounted and bore-sighted.

The Axis youth models measure 40 inches overall with 20-inch barrels, and weigh 6.2 pounds. Their detachable box magazines have a four-round capacity, and they’re available in .223 Remington, .243 Winchester and 7mm-08 Remington.

One of the rifles wears the new Realtree Extra camo pattern and the other sports the Muddy Girl pattern. Their barrels are finished in matte blue. MSRP for each package is $475.
