The world’s best snowboarders can be found competing at the 2013 Winter X Games, but some prefer handrails, brick walls, and concrete playgrounds to a more traditional slope. ESPN recognized this with their X Games Real Snow competition, where the best urban snowboarders ply their parkour-esque skills to a powdery cityscape. No hesitation and plenty of skill is on display as these athletes jump from derelict buildings and traverse unfinished highway bridges.
Judges’ favorite Louif Paradis snagged gold while Dan Brisse and Bode Merrill came in second and third, respectively.
