Video: Coyote Gets Stared Down by Guard Llama, Donkey

You wouldn’t think that llamas would make good guard animals, unless you’ve actually seen one in action. Capable of building a strong bond with domestic animals like sheep or goats, llamas are highly defensive of their adopted herds and will aggressively chase away coyotes and other small predators. Add that to their natural dislike of canines and you have a large—and most importantly, diligent—bodyguard for livestock.
Donkeys, on the other hand, are just more than happy to stomp on things that try to eat their friends.
