Deer are always exploring and visiting new areas on a daily basis. Sometimes, they even end up right in our backyard, seemingly teasing us with that perfect broadside pose.
This whitetail buck in Hamilton County, Indiana, found himself in a sticky situation when his antlers got tangled in a hammock.
Officers were dispatched when calls came through to help a deer whose antlers were stuck in a hammock. Carefully avoiding hooves and antlers, Animal Control Deputy Sanford and Deputy Dodd were able to cut the buck free.
Despite a few strings hanging from his antlers, the buck was set free without any injuries. This is a good reminder that deer frequently venture into yards and neighborhoods, and injured or stuck animals should never be approached.
