Today’s close call of the day comes after a man in Wisconsin drove his Cadillac Escalade across frozen Lake Michigan and was somehow able to escape what happened next.
The man was moving an ice shanty to another spot on the lake and decided to tow it behind his truck, but he didn’t check to make sure the ice was 100% safe.
A cell phone video captured the moment the ice gave way underneath the truck:
As the lake swallows the truck and the shanty, let this be a chilling lesson on the importance of ice safety. We were relieved to hear the man was able to get out of the truck before it submerged under the icy water. Close one!
