Video: Survivalist Crab Climbs Out of Pot, Turns Off Hot Plate and Rescues Comrades

A crab with no desire of becoming someone’s dinner was filmed escaping a pot of heating water, and turning off the hot plate to save its fellow crustacean comrades.

The video, as reported by UPI, was taken in Lianyungang, Jiangsu Province (China) shows a survivalist crab climbing out of a pan of water and melting butter as it heats up on a hot plate.

The crab pulls off a series of acrobatic moves, makes its way to the front of the hot plate’s control panel and hits the power button, saving the lives of the other three crabs stuck in the pan.

Although we highly doubt it, it wasn’t clear if the crab’s evasive maneuver earned it and the others a permanent stay of execution, or not. . .
