Video: Teaching a Young Husky to Avoid Wolf Traps is a Vital but Painful Lesson

At around 7 to 8 months old, it’s time for a young husky pup to learn to steer clear of traps that might hurt him. As the dog of a trapper, he’s going to be spending plenty of time around these dangerous contraptions, so it’s best he gets familiar with them – and gets the full experience of stepping on a trap.

Now, the trap’s jaws are padded so it doesn’t hurt the dog, but it will give him a good enough scare to teach him not to go near them out in the woods – at least that’s the goal.
